In this fall 3-day workshop you will learn about the seed industry and the tradition of sharing seed. We will teach technical skills like hand-pollination and seed processing, as well as the biological and ecological concepts of seed saving.
The best way to learn what vegetable varieties to grow is to trial a few for yourself! Come sample rare varieties found only in SSE’s seed bank, and many others you can easily get through SSE’s Online Exchange or Commercial catalog.

Each year in July Seed Savers Exchange plays host to an intimate gathering of leaders in the seed and garden movement at Heritage Farm in Decorah, IA. They come together to discuss issues involving seed and food security as well as the best practices for growing, harvesting, and storing food and seed crops and ways to connect with other seed savers across the nation and world.
